1. EARN conference in Berlin

Large part of the meeting we dedicated to the organization of the EARN86 to be held in Berlin 27-29th October. A tentative agenda was proposed.

Action Ex BoD 3.1.1: D. Lord to prepare with the help of local IBM the Brochure for announcement and invitation to the conference ASAP.

Action Ex BoD 3.1.2: Ex BoD members to contact indicated speakers to confirm participation and communicate to D. Lord. Due within end of May.

Action Ex BoD 3.1.3: D. Lord to write to national representatives proposing to them the national quota for participation to the conference and explaining the purpose of EARN86 and the program. Within second week of June.

Action Ex BoD 3.1.4: M. Hebgen start the local organization and submit to D. Lord the conference budget.

2. Constitution of an EARN office

D. Lord presents an hypothesis of starting an EARN office in the second half of 1986. A tentative budget is also presented.

Action Ex BoD 3.2.1: D. Lord write to all national representatives to describe characteristics and functions of the EARN office and asking for candidate locations for the office and candidates for the post of EARN manager.

3. Next Ex BoD meetings

To see candidate for EARN manager post and discuss about the office to set up the next meeting will take place June the 24th or July the 1st in a place to be established. Another meeting will be held on September 17th to define final arrangements for EARN86 conference.

4. EARN President election

Action Ex BoD 3.4.1: D. Lord contact some national representative being not in the Ex BoD in order to set up elections for the new officers (present officers will expire next February). The committee will make a proposal to the BoD in Berlin.

5. Documentation on EARN

A. Auroux circulated a document explaining scope and functioning at EARN.

Action Ex BoD 3.5.1: Ex BoD members communicate to Auroux their comments and request of modification.
